Welcome to the Wave Active Surveillance App

To support Active Surveillance (AS) as a potential disease management option for people like you, a team of expert Urologists and Radiologists belonging to Vivantes/Charité in Berlin has co-developed a new app called the Wave Active Surveillance App (Wave AS).

Active Surveillance Program Overview

You have been identified as a candidate for Active Surveillance, a potential measure or course of action for your prostate tumor. Wave Active Surveillance App was developed by the Berlin AS Expert Team, and we are delighted you have chosen to participate in this program.

How It Works

With Wave AS, you will have the opportunity for your medical records to be evaluated by the Berlin Expert AS Team. To do this, simply complete a short list of tasks in the app and receive an expert recommendation on whether you are a candidate for AS therapy.

Enrolling in the Pilot

Getting started is easy! Download the free app and follow the steps below.

Download

Download the Wave AS App on your phone. Look for the Wave icon with the teal ring.

Enter Code

In the app, tap “Sign Up” and enter your unique 6-digit code provided by your Health Care Provider.


Take Survey

Follow the instructions to finish creating your account and complete a 2-minute Profile Survey.

Your Wave AS Journey

After creating your account and responding to a 2-minute survey, your enrollment will be finalized. Then, upload your records to get your expert recommendation. That’s it!

Upload Your Records

Go to your Task List to input your PSA test, biopsy, and MRI results — all of which you should have already received. You will find detailed instructions on how to upload these items within each task.

Get Your Personal Recommendation

Within a few days of completing your tasks, you will be notified that your expert recommendation is ready to be discussed with your Urologist. Finally, submit your treatment decision as your last task.

  • The whole process can be completed in less than 2 weeks, depending on how quickly your required tasks are completed.

  • Your data will only be shared with members of your care team and researchers at BUG. You can access our full Privacy Policy in the Settings of the app.

  • Receiving notifications is a helpful way to ensure timely completion of all required tasks, expediting the whole process. You can edit your notification settings by going to Settings and selecting “On” or “Off.”

    To avoid receiving excess reminders, complete your tasks promptly.

  • If you have forgotten your password, simply click “Forgot Password” in the app while logging in or email the Support Team at wave.as@tti.care.

  • To be removed from the Wave AS Pilot, navigate to Data & Permissions from the Home page where you can confirm your request to change your permissions.
